Daniel was born in Watford, UK, just outside of London. He completed a masters degree at the University of Bath, studying Chemistry for Drug Discovery. He completed a masters project under the supervision of Dr A. Cresswell, focusing on the use of amines as unconventional C-nucleophiles towards electrophilic acceptors to form new C-C bonds. He has since joined the Marek group and is currently working on stereoselective intramolecular nucleophilic substitution reactions via non-classical carbocations to form polysaturated heterocycles.
