Tereza was born in Prague, Czech republic in 1992. She received her Master degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University in June 2016 after an Erasmus+ internship at the University of Montpellier, which motivated her to pursue the path of organic chemistry. In October 2016, she enrolled in a co‑tutelle Ph.D. program between France and the Czech republic and she accomplished the total syntheses of several new metabolites of omega-3 fatty acids under the supervision of Dr. Ullrich Jahn (IOCB Prague), Dr. Jean-Marie Galano and Dr. Camille Oger (IBMM, Montpellier). She obtained her Ph.D. degree from Charles University and the University of Montpellier in December 2020 and after a short postdoctoral fellowship at IOCB, she joined the group of Prof. Ilan Marek to investigate new strategies for the selective cyclopropane ring-opening.
