Gautam was born in 2000 in Varanasi , Uttar Pradesh, India. After completing his early education from Varanasi , he pursued his undergraduate studies at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He went on to complete his master’s degree in 2024 at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, Karnataka. During his master’s program, he worked under the guidance of Prof. Kavirayani Ramakrishna Prasad focusing on the Synthesis of Natural Products. In 2025, Rajan joined the research group of Prof. Ilan Marek, currently working on Metallo−Ene Reaction .
